We all do it – mindlessly travel from place to place not actually present in the moment. Or maybe we’re just always in a hurry and cannot be arsed to look around.
There are so many wonderful things that we just pass by on a daily basis without even realizing it.
Fairy gardens, tree gnomes, and silly little statuettes are all examples of the wonderful things that exist and are often missed.
Too often we consider being curious of one’s surrounding’s, or even curiosity itself, as a childish quirk. It is so much more.
I’m sure you’ve heard that necessity is the mother of invention. While this is true, curiosity is the lifeblood of that invention.
Curiosity is an inherit part of trial and error. Whether something works or doesn’t work is only learned through wondering if it can.
I challenge you to be more mindful of your surroundings the next time you are out; and to be more curious in general.
Don’t be afraid to ask ‘why’ for a wise man once said:
“Curiosity is one of the most permanent and certain characteristics of a vigorous intellect.”
— Samuel Johnson
Since you’ve come across this website, chances are you already fall into the category of a curious person. I thank you for that.
